In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, NYS has allowed ALL those eligible to vote in the June 23rd Primary to apply for an Absentee Ballot. Governor Cuomo also signed an executive order stating that everyone will receive a ballot application with a prepaid envelope in the mail.
If you have not yet received yours, look for it to arrive shortly. It will be in a white envelope from the Westchester County Board of Elections, stamped Absentee Ballot Application.
Please note that if you do not want to apply for an Absentee Ballot, you still will have the option to vote in person on June 23rd, as well as during the Early Voting period (June 13-21).
Applying for an Absentee Ballot:
If for any reason you do not receive an application in the mail, or accidentally discard it, Absentee Ballot Applications can be downloaded here. As per the instructions by the Board of Elections, when filling out your application, please be sure to check “Temporary Illness” as the reason for the application.
For this election only, completed and signed applications can be emailed or faxed to the Westchester County Board of Elections, in addition to being mailed or dropped in-person.

Returning Your Absentee Ballot:
When you receive your actual Absentee Ballot, you will need to fill it out, put it in the envelope, and then sign the envelope before mailing it back.
That last step is crucial, as your ballot won’t count without your signature.
Important Note For Those Who Have Already

If this is the case, you will be receiving a second Absentee Ballot for the Congressional/State/Local Primary Elections when they become available later this month.
If you discarded the Presidential Primary Ballot, and would like to request a replacement, you can contact the Board of Elections at 914-995-5700 and they will mail it to you.
