Re-Elect Gonçalves, Welsh, Sklarin & Pierce! Early Voting Goes Through Sunday

Dear Friends,

With Tuesday's election quickly approaching, and early voting running through Sunday, I am writing to give my full and enthusiastic endorsement for the re-election of Tony Gonçalves for Lewisboro Town Supervisor, Dan Welsh & Rich Sklarin for Town Board, and Erika Pierce for County Legislator. And to remind you to take nothing for granted, particularly in an off-year election like this, where low voter turnout can lead to unexpected and unintended results.

As your Assemblymember (and as a new Lewisboro resident!), I value the experience Tony, Dan, and Rich bring to the table. Having strong and competent partners at the local level is essential to my ability to aid Lewisboro at the state level. A recent example would be the repaving of over 7 miles of Route 35, scheduled by NYS Department of Transportation for next year. This was a collaborative effort between the town, County Legislator Erika Pierce, NYS Senator Pete Harkcham, and myself. Had Lewisboro's elected officials not been pushing so hard alongside us, this much-needed $4.2 million paving project likely would not have moved forward on this timeline, and with this scope.

I have also seen first-hand the effectiveness of Tony, Rich, and Dan. For example, they are making tremendous progress on the town's Comprehensive Plan, they are focusing on the importance of hamlet vitality, and they are tackling the decades-old issue of wastewater polluting the lakes. Meanwhile, they are holding down our taxes, achieved in part by effectively seeking federal and state grants to fund the town's critical infrastructure projects. 

 

As for County Legislator Erika Pierce, it is an understatement to say that she hit the ground running – she hit it racing! And she’s doing a spectacular job. She painstakingly attends to every issue affecting the communities she represents – takes every call and is incredibly responsive. She is a terrific partner at the county level and I enthusiastically support her re-election.

Lewisboro needs Tony, Dan, Rich, and Erika. Please make sure you join me in voting for them.

As I mentioned, early voting runs through this Sunday, November 5th. On election day (Tuesday, Nov. 7), polls are open from 6 am-9 pm. Not sure where to vote on election day? Click here to find your polling location.
